Congratulations to our State Welding students Luis Ramirez, Caleb Brown, Leky Rankins, Robert Rea, Kyler Combs, Jacob Delaney The following students made it to round 2 Joexiel Hernandez and Jacob Alvarado And Jacob Alvarado made it to the finals and was in the top 16 students in the state. APHS Welders are currently competing at the state meet. Yesterday we had 4 students move onto the second and one student made it to the finals. Jacob Alvarado is currently competing and is one of the top 20 welders in the state. Congrats to Jacob Alvarado and all our students.

Our students competed today at the GP inclusive track meet and we are so proud of all of them. Thank you to our cheerleaders and student and teacher volunteers who came to help out and cheer on our kids. Way to go APHS!!!!!

Dear Parents and Students, I hope you are having a good day. I wanted to take the time to say, “Thank you.” Thank you for your acceptance and support through the years. Thank you for impacting my life is such a positive way. I brag about yall on a regular basis. This truly is a special place, and I’m blessed to have worked for the best school and in the best district. I would take our kids over any in the state! I wanted to make you aware that I am retiring at the end of the school year to go into ministry. I am so blessed to finish my educational career in the best district with the best students and parents. Don’t be surprised if you see me at some high school events next year. Welding is heading to STATE!! Congratulations to Jacob Delaney, Kyler Combs, Leky Rankins, and Robert Rea, who qualified as Level 1 AWS D9.1 2F GMAW at the Aransas Pass Panther Challenge Regional Qualifier, Luis Ramirez and Joexiel Hernandez-Ramirez, who qualified as Level 2 AWS D1.1 1G W/Backing SMAW at the Aransas Pass Panther Challenge Regional Qualifier, Caleb Brown, who qualified as Level 2 AWS D1.1 1G W/Backing SMAW at the Robstown Regional Qualifier, and Jacob Alvarado, who qualified as Level 2 AWS D1.1 1G W/Backing SMAW at the Hutto Regional Qualifier. Students will compete at the TXHSWS State Welding Championship at TSTC Fort Bend in Rosenburg on May 6 & 7! ! LET'S GO PANTHERS!

APHS First Annual State Qualifying Welding Competition. Thank you to Ocean Corp, AWS, and Texas High School Welding Series for helping to organize this competition. Way to go Eddie Garcia and Mickey Viar for hosting 11 schools and over 120 student welders.
