Panthers and Employees of the Month

The Aransas Pass ISD Board of Trustees recognized the Panthers and Employees of the Month at their May 11th Regular Board Meeting.

May 2026 Panthers of the Month

Lucy Waldron is a 1st grade student at Faulk Elementary. Lucy was chosen for her leadership skills by being assertive in her need to help others and herself. She has demonstrated positive characteristics with her peers by being kind, helpful, and modeling PAX behavior. We could not be happier for selecting Lucy as our Panther of the Month! Congratulations Lucy.


Kamyla Perez is a 4th grade student at Charlie Marshall. Kamyla demonstrates positivity, growth, and leadership. She consistently supports others, shows a strong attitude, and has grown into a confident learner. Over the year, she has grown into a confident and engaged learner who continues to “Grow into Greatness” each day. She is highly deserving of this recognition.


Thomas Richard is a 7th grader at A.C. Blunt. Thomas consistently demonstrates perseverance by pushing through challenges and giving every task his best effort. His determination, willingness to try, and positive attitude make him stand out. On top of that, Thomas has a great sense of humor that brings laughter to those around him, making him a valued part of our school community. Congratulations, Thomas!


Maria Cuenca Garcia is a junior at Aransas Pass High School who has made an incredible impact on our campus as a foreign exchange student. She exemplifies what it means to be a Panther through her outstanding academic achievement, consistently earning top grades while embracing the challenges of a new educational system. Her work ethic is second to none and she approaches every task with determination, responsibility, and a drive to succeed.


May 2026 Employees of the Month

Patricia Latham is a prekindergarten teacher at Faulk Elementary. As Mrs.Latham embarks on her journey of retirement, we want to take this time to thank you for her years of service in education. The immense growth, love, and commitment she has given to her students and community is appreciated in laying the foundation for our PreK students. Congratulations to Mrs. Latham for the difference you have made in so many lives!!


Elena Martinez is a 3rd grade teacher at Charlie Marshall Elementary. Ms.Martinez is a true team player who brings positivity everywhere she goes. She consistently puts students first and has taken the lead in managing our House Program, boosting campus morale, team spirit and a culture of fun. Her commitment to doing what’s best for students makes a lasting impact on our entire campus.


Nancy Bryant is a special education paraprofessional at A.C. Blunt Middle School. Ms.Bryant consistently brings positivity, compassion, and dedication to our campus. She demonstrates grace and kindness in her interactions with both colleagues and students, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for everyone around her. Dependable and always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed, she exemplifies teamwork and love for her work family.


Lisa Smith is the receptionist and attendance clerk at Aransas Pass High School. In a time when our campus needed it most, she stepped up to take on not just one, but two critical roles, secretary and attendance. handling each with professionalism, efficiency, and grace. She has seamlessly balanced an increased workload while continuing to support students, staff, and families with a positive attitude and a servant’s heart. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and willingness to go above and beyond have helped keep our school running smoothly each day.


Jason Brou is the APISD Director of Technology. We are proud to recognize Jason Brou as our Employee of the Month for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to supporting our students and staff each and every day. Jason and the “Brou Crew”, Tammy, Jonathan, & Elliot are consistently out and about across the district ensuring our campuses are supported and operating smoothly. Whether responding to campus needs, troubleshooting issues, or proactively preparing systems, their presence and reliability are appreciated districtwide. Thank you, Jason, we appreciate all that you and your crew do to help keep APISD connected, protected, and moving forward.


Luis Arguijo is an important member of our Maintenance Department. Luis has shown great initiative when it comes to completing his daily tasks. He is a team player with a sense of humor that keeps us smiling throughout the day. Our school grounds would not look as good without his help. Thank you Luis for all you do!
