Stacy Ostrom, Assistant Principal
Hello Panther Nation,
It is my pleasure to serve as one of the assistant principals for Aransas Pass High School. I am not a native Texan; I grew up in a very small town in Michigan. After graduating from high school, I joined the US Navy where I met my husband of 35 years. After serving for six years, I was honorably discharged and began raising our two children. Being a military family allowed us to travel the world, seeing places we’d only be able to read about in books. The military afforded me the opportunity to earn my degrees—an Associate’s Degree from Del Mar in Social Work, a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland, a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University, and another Master’s Degree in History from Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
I have taught all classes of Social Studies at the high school level in my 15 years in the classroom. I made the move into administration two years ago when I came to Aransas Pass High School.
